Description:
The State Office of Pacific Islander Affairs (formerly Polynesian Affairs) was created by Executive Order to apprise the Governor of Utah on issues impacting the Pacific Islander (Polynesian, Melanesian, Micronesian) communities of Utah. The Office also monitors and reviews state agencies and their programs and makes recommendations on how they can increase and improve their level of responsiveness to the needs of Pacific Islanders.
