Description:
The Chinese Culture Center in Houston was Formed under the auspices of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission of the Republic of China.

The Center opened its doors on july 4th, 1987 in new Chinatown in Southwest Houston. Visioning the need to serve an expanding Chinese population, the Center purchased new property on April 10, 1991 and following extensive remodeling, it moved into the pressent location on September 13, 1992. The facility covers an area of 40,000-sq. ft. on a 2-acrelot. it can accommodate 200 cars in its parking lot.

The Center is under the jurisdiction of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Houston. It is the largest of such facilities in the world, and is dedicated to serving the Chinese and Chinese schools in the southern five states of the United States.
