Description:
Workers' Awaaz (Workers' Voice) is a membership-based workers' center. It was the first organization in the USA organizing South Asian domestic workers and now also organizes South Asian workers from other industries. We fight for respect for our work, a 40 hour workweek at a living compensation, and control over our lives. South Asian workers include those of Bangladeshi, Indian, Nepali, Pakistani and Sri Lankan origin; as well as those from the Caribbean, Fiji, Guyana, Africa, Southeast Asia and other parts of the Diaspora.
