In 1995, a group of Filipino-Americans in Long Island (FAMILII), founded a new non-profit organization in Suffolk County, New York, for the purpose of nurturing their Filipino heritage and culture, promoting camaraderie and to do benevolent work for some unfortunate people in Suffolk County and in the Philippines.
