Description:
Since the 1950s, it is estimated that there are 110,000 Korean-born adopted people in the United States. Worldwide, there is an estimated 145,000. Today, tens of thousands of children are being adopted from Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Also-Known-As, Inc. began in early 1996 and gave voice to the thousands of adult inter-country adoptees by creating a community that recognizes and celebrates people whose lives bridge nations, cultures and races through adoption.

go to web for list of board members...great group...they found their voice and open a closed culture. Now the Korean Ambassador in WDC welcomes these forgotten children of the dust to his home!!! And the newly adopted children from Korea!! What a the simple idea of coming together has led to.
There are chapter in Chicago and they have speakers who come to campus......
