Description:
The Association of Filipino Teachers of America, AFTA, was organized in 1989 with members from all over America. Its most projects are; Paaralan sa Konsulado, a summer school held annually in July at the Philippime Center for FilAm children free of charge, BALIKTURO, a workshop by AFTA members held in the Philippines coordinated by the Office of the Overseas Filipinos Workers, TUKLAS TALINO and Children's Fair held every year during the Philippine Independence Parade and Street Fair.
