Description:
A film project about the All-Japanese battalion of the U.S. Military during World War II. Website features an excellent movie trailer.

The 100th/442nd was formed as a unit composed of Japanese American volunteers from Hawaii and the concentration camps in the western states.  The response from Hawaii was overwhelming but only a hand-full would come from the mainland.  While fighting to liberate Europe their families would be subjected to racism and outright injustice back home.  Nevertheless these men would form one of the most highly decorated units of World War II.  Their missions saw them spearheading every major operation they were assigned to, from the assaults on Cassino and Anzio in Italy, to rescuing the "Lost Battalion" in France.  In the closing chapters of the war, they would also bear witness to the liberation of the Nazi Death camps.
