TAYPA is a new organization dedicated to uniting and advancing a nationwide community of Thai-American young professionals, as well as establishing them as future leaders of the new generation. Through planned social, professional and community events, the association hopes to develop a network of friends that will last a lifetime.

Having been a part of numerous Asian American professional groups in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago as well as a long-time member of the Thai Physicians Association of America, Joe Wana recognized the need for a similar group created specifically for Thai-American young professionals. In December of 1998, he recruited others who shared the same mindset -- Paul Ark, Tammy Chiemmongkoltip, and Allan Rangsithienchai - and together, they founded TAYPA.

The association provides members with communal resources they would not have access to as individuals, enabling them to accomplish their personal and professional goals and to meet other fellow Thai-American young professionals across the country. This includes planned events, a newsletter, a mentorship program and a membership directory.
