Description:
The Asian American Cancer Support Network is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2003. Our mission is to become a network of resources for Asian/Asian Americans affected by cancer in the Bay Area through social support and educational programs. All of our programs are free to the public. We organize educational cancer support workshops, provide complimentary cancer care baskets to cancer patients, and participate in health fairs to outreach to the underserved Asian/Asian American communities. We also partner with several cancer related groups in the Bay Area to increase cancer awareness. Our only fundraiser is a gala in November called HATWALK. The theme celebrates hats and the comfort they bring to certain cancer patients who lose their hair from treatment. All proceeds support our cancer care programs and our organization is 100% run by volunteers.
